How it works
Five steps, all in your browser.
CarMargin works in your browser, in your own signed-in Copart UK session. No uploads, no copy and paste, no second dashboard to keep open.
- 01
Install and connect
Add the Chrome extension, then sign in with your email or Google. There is nothing to configure. Chrome 116 or newer, on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS.
- 02
Open a lot on Copart UK
Browse as you always do. On a lot page a small CarMargin bubble appears. On a list page, lots you have already analysed carry a verdict badge.
- 03
Press Analyse
One click reads every photo, the listing, the MOT history and the DVLA record, prices the repair, adds buyer’s premium and Copart’s fees to the hammer price, and returns a verdict with a max bid. It takes about a minute.
- 04
Check the why, then ask
Risks are listed high first, each with the photo or field behind it. Use chat for anything unclear, and try what-if bids. Chat is free.
- 05
Bid your max
Max bid. Walk away above this. It is tuned to your target margin, transport and shop rate, and it recalculates instantly when you change a setting, with no new analysis.
What CarMargin does not do
- It does not bid for you. You place every bid yourself.
- It does not keep your photos. They are read and discarded.
- It does not read your bidding history or your Copart account.
- It is not a marketplace or a lot search. Each lot is analysed only when you open it.
- It does not cover other auction houses. Copart UK only.
